Since training as a person-centered counsellor, I have worked both in private practise and with Working Minds – an organisation which helps those currently out of work.
The therapy that I offer reflects my training, my experience and my interests. I am always interested in people – their stories and really getting to know them. I am fascinated by neuroscience, and have developed an understanding of how the brain works, how this affects us in the every day, and how we have the power to change our minds. I am also interested in the connection between the mind and the body, and the importance of recognising how they are indeed one(!). These two combined have contributed to my interest in, and use of walk and talk therapy, and the use of EFT.
I love the outdoors, and nature is the food of my soul. I am creative, although not artistic, and enjoy using metaphors and images in sessions to illustrate ideas and feelings.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and an Accredited Advanced Practioner of EFT. I am a fully insured therapist, and adhere to ICO guidelines on GDPR.
